By registering and creating an account, using and availing our services, visiting our platforms, or engaging with us via phone, email, in person, or through any other means, you agree to the terms outlined in this Data Privacy Policy.

Section 1: Overview

alagaco takes its responsibilities under Philippine data protection legislation seriously.

This Data Privacy Policy aims to provide users of our services ("Users", "you", "your") with a clear summary of how we use information that is provided to us and how alagaco complies with applicable Philippine data protection laws, covering the following areas:

• what information we collect or otherwise process;
• How and why we use and share such information;
• How we protect it; and
• The choices and rights available to you.

alagaco recognizes and implements the general data privacy principles of transparency, legitimate purpose, and proportionality, and commits to process personal data fairly and lawfully, collect only what is relevant and necessary for declared purposes, and retain personal data only for as long as necessary for those purposes or as otherwise allowed by law.

Section 2: Categories of Users

alagaco is a platform that connects Users who want to avail home and personal services with independent service providers. The category of User account you maintain and the information we process about you may depend on the type of service you want to avail or provide through alagaco.

For clarity, alagaco Users may include any of the following (collectively, "Users"):

• Clients/Service Requesters. Individuals who browse, request, book, or pay for services through the platform (e.g., home care, home cleaning, tutoring, and other similar home services).
• Service Providers. Individuals who offer or perform services through the platform, which may include (without limitation): Caregivers, House cleaners, Tutors, and other home-service providers as may be offered on the platform from time to time.
• Other Users or Representatives. Individuals who interact with alagaco on behalf of a Client or Service Provider (e.g., authorized family members booking for a household, or business/organization representatives if enterprise arrangements are supported).

This classification is intended to support transparency on what personal data we collect and why, and to ensure that any collection and use of personal data remain for a declared, specified, and legitimate purpose and is proportionate to what is necessary to deliver the service.

Section 3: How This Affects the Personal Data We Process

Depending on whether you are a Client or a Service Provider, we may process different categories of personal data as necessary to operate the platform (e.g., account creation, matching, booking, communications, payments, safety and fraud prevention, and customer support). "Processing" includes collection, recording, storage, use, disclosure, and deletion, whether manual or automated.

We process personal information only when lawful criteria apply, such as your consent, necessity to perform a contract or take steps at your request prior to contracting, compliance with legal obligations, and other grounds recognized by the law and its implementing rules and regulations.

Where the service requires the processing of sensitive personal information (for example, details relating to health or government-issued identifiers), alagaco will process such information only under the limited circumstances allowed by law (e.g., with proper consent or where processing is permitted by existing laws and regulations with adequate safeguards).

• Our correspondence: if you contact us, we will typically keep a record of that correspondence.

Purpose of use and disclosure

We process your personal information as a Personal Information Controller for declared, specified, and legitimate purposes, and only to the extent adequate, relevant, suitable, necessary, and not excessive to deliver the service you requested, consistent with the principles of transparency, legitimate purpose, and proportionality:

• To provide and operate the alagaco platform and services, including creating and maintaining your account, enabling platform features, and facilitating your use of our Website/app/platform.
• To connect Clients with Service Providers and Service Providers with Clients, including matching, booking, scheduling, service requests, confirmations, messaging/communications needed to complete a booking, and service delivery coordination.
• To share necessary information to enable the requested service, where disclosure to another User (Client or Service Provider) or to our authorized partners is required to complete the transaction.
• To improve our services to make our services more valuable or useful.
• To inform you of any changes to our services.
• To comply with legal or regulatory requirements and obligations which may include disclosing your personal information to the court service and/or regulators or law enforcement agencies.
• For marketing purposes, to send you offers and marketing materials about alagaco's products and services by email or SMS, where required by law we will ask for your consent before conducting such marketing.

Section 5: Marketing and Analytics

alagaco may collect data about your activities that does not personally or directly identify you when you visit our website. This information may include the content you view, the date and time that you view this content, the services you purchase, or your location information associated with your IP address.

We use the information we collect to serve you more relevant advertisements. We collect information about where you saw the advertisements we serve you and what advertisements you clicked on. You may opt-out of the automated collection of information by amending your web browser controls or by contacting our Data Privacy Officer.

We may use Users' information for data analytics purposes, including to create insights, reports, and other analytics to improve our services. The output of our analytics will never identify a particular User or alagaco client or service provider.

Section 6: Security and Storage

We hold your personal information primarily in electronic form and process it only to the extent necessary for declared, specified, and legitimate purposes, consistent with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

To help protect your personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, alteration, disclosure, and other unlawful processing, alagaco implements reasonable and appropriate organizational, physical, and technical security measures, including encryption of personal data during storage and while in transit, authentication controls, and other access-limiting technical measures.

Access to personal information is restricted to authorized alagaco employees, agents, or representatives on a need-to-know basis. Personnel with access to personal data are required to observe strict confidentiality.

Where a Service Provider or third-party vendor processes or holds personal information on our behalf, we require them to comply with alagaco's approved security standards and to implement the security measures required by the Data Privacy Act and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

Section 7: Destruction / Disposal of Personal Information

alagaco retains personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the declared, specified, and legitimate purpose for which it was collected, or as otherwise allowed under applicable law and regulations. When the relevant purpose has been satisfied, we will securely dispose of or destroy the personal data in our custody.

We dispose of or destroy personal data in a secure manner that prevents further processing, unauthorized access, or disclosure. Disposal methods may include secure deletion, overwriting, anonymization, and/or physical destruction of storage media, as appropriate to the nature of the data and the risks involved.

Your exercise of these data subject rights is subject to certain exemptions to safeguard the public interest and alagaco's interests. If you exercise any of these rights, we will check your entitlement and respond in most cases within a month.
